Bernie Zubrowski worked in science education for many years. While at the Boston Childrens' Museum he designed eight traveling exhibits. Two of these exhibits were duplicated by a number of museums in the US and Europe. He had published 16 children science books. These received special recognition from the American Association for the Advancement of Science. In addition he worked in after school programming and designed a middle school physical science project.

At The Education Development Center he was involved in 4 National Science Foundation funded projects designing science and engineering curricula and in two teacher education programs. While there he received an award as Science educator of the year from the National Science Teachers Association.

For the past 25 years he has been designing and exhibiting kinetic sculpture. (See Sculpture link)
